PIER PAOLO PASOLINI - LA REALTA'
Original project with actor Claudio Santamaria, star of numerous films and appreciated TV dramas, from always to his ease in the difficult roles of the rebel and the different.
His encounter with poetry and the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini occurs with the "mediation" of the beautiful music composed for the occasion from Flavio Emilio Scogna.
CLAUDIO SANTAMARIA
After his beginnings to 16 years old as a voice actor, he enrolled in the three-year Acting Training course held from Beatrice Bracco, tried to auditioning at the Academy, but was rejected. Tenacious and confident in his abilities, Santamaria does not give up and finally makes his stage debut with La nostra città directed from S. Molinari. The jump to the big screen coincides with an audition for Pieraccioni´s Fuochi d´artificio. This is followed by roles in G. Muccino´s Ecco fatto and M. Risi´s L´ultimo capodanno. The first from leading role is given to him from to . Infascelli in Almost blue. With L´ultimo bacio he finds Muccino again and after a few theatrical productions he returns to theaters with M. Placido´s long-awaited Romanzo criminale. In recent months he has been much appreciated by critics for his participation in the mini-series on RaiUno Le cose che restano and for his performance in the theatrical monologue La notte poco prima della foresta by Koltés.
FABIO BATTISTELLI, clarinet
He offers himself to the public indifferently as a soloist or as a member of chamber ensembles and has performed in some of the most prestigious from concert halls in Italy and Europe, as well as in South America, the United States, Canada and North Africa. A profound connoisseur of contemporary music, he has performed some world premieres of pieces written from important composers of our time including B. Ferneyough, S. Bussotti. G. Battistelli, to. Guarnieri, to. Clementi, F. Festa, S. Taglietti, F. Del Corno, R. Vacca, S. Bollani, at some of the most important Contemporary Music festivals such as the Linz Festival (Austria), the Munich Biennale, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Nuova Consonanza, Musica Verticale in Rome, Antidogma in Turin, Teatro dell′Elfo in Milan, Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, etc. He currently teaches at the Conservatorio "Cherubini" in Florence and is regularly invited to to participate, as a member, in National and International competition commissions. He is artistic director of the concert season in Città di Castello (PG) and "Concerti all′Alba" of the Festival del Mare held on the Romagna Riviera. He is currently engaged in music and poetry productions and collaborates on a regular basis with actors: David Riondino, Amanda Sandrelli, Blas Roca-Rey and has worked with Ivana Ionti, Pino Micol, Piera degli Esposti, Arnoldo Foà, Massimo Wertmüller, Nando Gazzolo, Alessandro Haber, Carlo Lucarelli, Paola Gassman, Ugo Pagliai, and Elio delle Storie tese.
VALENTINA CAIOLO, violin
She began studying violin to Como and then continued to Palermo under G. Trombone. After graduating, she specialized at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (with N. Brainin) and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has won various auditions and competitions in important Italian music institutions and has also dedicated herself to chamber music activity, especially in duo and trio with piano, playing as part of important festivals in Italy and abroad. Since 1993 she has been a member of the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, where she has also held first part roles. He has often taken part in the tours of the from chamber orchestras "Federico II" and "I Solisti dell′Accademia" and the "I Solisti della Scala" ensemble.
FRANCESCO MARIOZZI, cello
Graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Bari under M° N. Sarpe, he continued his studies at the Hochschule in Würzburg with J. Metzger, the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, the University of Mainz, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, and the Hochschule in Vienna; he perfected his skills with prestigious artists such as Maisky, Gutman, Geringas, Perènyi, Meunieur, and Palm. He has collaborated with important orchestras, such as the Santa Cecilia Orchestra of Rome and the Philharmonic Orchestra "Arturo Toscanini," conducted from Maazel; he is a guest, both as soloist and chamber musician, at prestigious Italian and foreign festivals. He is currently first cello of the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo "Bellini" in Catania.
FRANCESCO DE ZAN, piano
He graduated with honors in 1987 from the Padua Conservatory of Music and perfected his studies with various masters such as G. Gorini, E. Fischer, to. Weissemberg, M. del Vecchio and B. Bettinelli (for composition). He has performed in hundreds of concerts within important musical seasons in Italy and abroad, collaborating, among others, with violinists V. Oistrakh, S. Pagliani and H. H. Schneeberger; with cellists P. Demenga and C. Coin; with double bassist F. Petracchi; with the I Solisti della Scala and Gubbio Festival Ensembles. He has conceived and organized many international music festivals in different Italian regions. Simultaneously with his concert activity, he graduated in Philosophy with a thesis on Musical Aesthetics at Ca′ Foscari University in Venice.
