The"JUNIORCHESTRA" of the′Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is the first children′s and youth orchestra created within the framework of Italian opera-symphonic foundations. Established in 2006 by the will of Bruno Cagli, it is currently composed from about 260 instrumentalists, divided into four groups to depending on the age group. The youngsters are introduced to the greatest symphonic repertoire and perform music ranging from Rossini, to Mozart, Vivaldi, C¡ajkovski, Bartók, Puccini, Beethoven and many others, in their original version. Besides to this, the young musicians try their hand at chamber repertoire, supervised by from highly experienced teachers including professors from the Orchestra ofAccademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
The orchestra experience represents a great opportunity to learn to playing with others, to listen and to listen to each other, sharing the wonderful world of Music. Therefore, the support of Gioco del lotto-lottomatica, which contributed to the consolidation of this important initiative, and the City of Rome was significant.
