SSIEGE
Presents: Dreamy Pads Of Insecurity
Emerging recently as one of the most interesting talents dotting the Italian undeground, SSIEGE - already known to industry insiders as Giesse, co-founder of the Italian label HomeMadeZucchero - is an intimate and emotional project that shines in a moment of rare complexity. Three acts were enough to accurately draw the world in which Ssiege lives: calm, insecure but attractive, certainly nostalgic. Act One: the sonic journey called Dreamy Pads of Insecurity (BUS, 2020), is a fantastical exploration dense with cinematic charm capable of reaching unexplored sensory heights. Act Two: the delicate debut called Fading Summer-which rightfully enters among the masterpieces of the British label YOUTH-where the first, timid percussive rhythms advance, challenging the ambient bridge that is glue in an 'opera autobiographical designed to be listened to from start to finish. Last but not least, the "third act" called Meteora, which sees the light of day in 2021 thanks to the skilful hands of the Knekelhuis label: a colorful haze of warm pads that embraces references to the glorious Jungle Era increasing the value of the usual introspective tales signed from SSIEGE. It all sounds like an endless ode to the elements of nature, the search for fragility in life and then finally reclaiming the simplicity of things.
