BEATRICE LEONARDI
Presents: Grapevine
Beatrice Leonardi trained to Catania, at the Compagnia Zappalà Danza (where she took part in the MoDem Atelier training course), to Bologna, where she participated in Art Factory International and later at the Centro Coreografico La Faktoria in Pamplona, Spain. Her artistic work is characterized by experimentation, from a research in which image, poetry, sound and corporeity come together; in fact, her interest is mainly directed towards the interaction between different artistic languages, the use of improvisation, and the creation of a poetics that can prospect as an active tool for personal introspective reflection.
At FuoriFestival, Beatrice Leonardi presents Vine. The vine tells of the passing seasons, of its instinct to meander and wind itself, of ecstasy, of the cycles of death and rebirth, of its roots that reach from the depths of the Earth to the Light of Heaven. The dance traverses the space of a real, imagined tale, transporting me to another place where time is suspended, where words are transformed into movements and breaths.
