Tribunal Mist Jazz Band
The Tribunal Mist Jazz Band was born to Naples in 1991 and is composed of from twenty elements between musicians-professionals and professionals-musicians, all united by a pure passion for music and in particular for jazz.
The creator, artistic director, musician and "soul" of the band is Lawyer Paolo Pannella and the conductor of the orchestra is Maestro Antonio Solimene.
Along with performances in numerous domestic and foreign venues and theaters, the Tribunal Mist Jazz Band, since 1996, has been present in the annual jazz billboard of the legendary Parisian jazz temple "Le petit journal Montparnasse."
In the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 the Band was called by the organizers of Umbria Jazz to perform to Perugia for the Jazz Festival.
The uniqueness of this band is precisely that, being composed entirely from from Campania, it was the first big band to to reread and reinterpret traditional Neapolitan songs in a jazz key, collected on a CD whose title is Napoli standard.
Authorized Notes is the title of the Tribunal Mist Jazz Band's latest CD with songs all previously unreleased except the Vecchio Frac/Libertango mix whose constituent pieces as is well known are by Domenico Modugno and Astor Piazzolla and Arrivederci by Umberto Bindi. The others, in order, were written from Marco Zurzolo, Antonio Onorato, Massimo Spinosa-Nadia Boccarusso, Giovanni Tommaso and Renato Sellani: authors of great depth, well pleased to have "authorized" the creative interpretations of their themes made by the Tribunal Mist Jazz Band, from hence the polysense title of the unreleased album.
