Giora Feidman, Nothing but Music
Giora Feidman, his clarinet in Schindler's List, played in front to of nearly a million people in the summer of 2005, personally invited by the Pope. Of the great clarinetist, Teatro Franco Parenti is producing the Italian version of the showNothingbut music with five international musicians and six Italian actors. A cosmopolitan experience of theater, music, song, dance, a journey around the world and through the 20th century that traces the places of Giora Feidman's life. More than one hundred years of emotions, music, places and faces from Moldova to Buenos Aires, from Shanghai to Bagdad. Klezmer players, nomadic exiled musicians from Eastern Europe, draw sap and inspiration from their wanderings around the world, driven by desire and hope in despair. Klezmer is based on the contamination of musicprovided by from all over the world, from jazz to tango, via oriental sounds and German folk. The journey of Nothing but Music starts and ends in a museum, a place of objects that awaken memories and hopes.
