The from Chamber Music Concerts are dedicated to two of the greatest French composers of the 20th century: Maurice Ravel and Olivier Messiaen; the former's complete Music from Chamber and Piano Compositions will be presented.Of the latter, whose birth centenary falls this year, the Quatuor pour la fin du temps,Catalogue des oiseaux, and the cycle for voice and piano Harawi, compositions that together can give an idea of the eclecticism proper to the personality of one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.Prestigious performers: pianists Andrea Lucchesini, Jeffrey Swann, Alexander Tharaud and Massimiliano Damerini, violinists Marco Rizzi and Gabriele Pierannunzi, cellist Mario Brunello, soprano Alda Caiello, the Savinio Quartet, and clarinetist Gabriele Mirabassi.The Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, in a collaboration that is intended to be strengthened in next years, will present some of its young discoveries to the Festival audience.
