Synopsis

Teatro delle Br iciole begins a collaboration with two classes of the elementary school Le Corone Tempo Pieno di Spoleto - II circolo didattico and their teachers. This first meeting opportunity will be dedicated to the theme of passion: why and how do we become passionate about theater? What area of human nature dialogues with fiction and mutation?During the School of the Art of Listening (a two-year theater-music-dance project for children, young people and teachers that Teatro delle Briciole carried out in 2002 and 2003) the children defined the passion that was born in them for theater in this way: "We got sick with theater, the disease of passion...Theater is like an infectious disease, it sticks to whoever disguises himself. When you dress up, you are screwed. You become yourself and you become the contrarian. You are an innocent person inside a prison.A bad person who becomes good. It is a very rare disease, but contagious. The theater sticks like cement, it is like a powerful rain, like a night day... "What does the pleasure of disguise, of blending in, of taking on a character, in creating invented lives parallel to our own leverage on?This experience was summarized in a small Manifesto on Theater, which we want to reintroduce on this occasion.Inspired by Shakespeare's oxymorons, we will work on writing : we will reflect on opposites that attract each other to give life in their sum to new concepts, as seemingly impossible cohabitations because they are opposites and that perhaps for this very reason generate unexpected and free images. The theatrical improvisation accompanied by live music will make the children experience a kind of pantomime and corporeality from "jester," and it is known, between the Gods and the Jesters lies the mystery of theater. So this work should be an opportunity to get to know each other and to tell each other before facing the performance of invented stories.
