A la porte
It is the inner monologue of an old philosophy professor, a lonely man, a bit of a bear, who finds himself locked out of his house to due to the clumsy closing of a door behind his back one cold winter Sunday morning. Full of resentment toward the society around him, his being locked out of the house immediately turns into the fear of being put at the door of life tout court. And so, having forgotten his keys inside his house, he finds himself to wandering around Paris between expectation and nightmares, reality and the supernatural. But in his wandering he will finally find peace in front of the beauty of art, in front of a painting by Titian. An utterly original text, which draws on realistic storytelling while taking its cue from the dreamlike tale and the metaphysical parable.
