The closing concert of the 64th edition of Festival dei Due Mondi aired on Rai Due
to a few days after the applause of Piazza Duomo, the closing concert of the 64th Festival dei Due Mondi will be broadcast, on Thursday, July 15 at at 23.45, in its TV premiere on Rai 2.Thanks to the renewed media partnership with Rai, the general public will have the opportunity to attend the traditional festival event entrusted this year to the baton of Antonio Pappano and the Orchestra ofAccademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. The program looks at the relationship between Two Worlds - East and West - and the mutual musical inspirations and suggestions. The fascination of landscapes, customs, sounds and costumes associated with countries on the shores of the Mediterranean finds traces in the exoticism of Rossini's Sinfonia from L'Italiana in Algeri, and in the atmospheres from thousand-and-one-nights of Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic suite Sheherazade and the more recent Violin Concerto "1001 Nights in the Harem" by Turkish composer and pianist Fazil Say, performed for the occasion from Friedemann Eichhorn, among its finest interpreters.
