Also this year, the traditional event that the Foundation Festival dei Due Mondi organizes for the holiday season is back. Tickets for the show are on sale from tomorrow, October 29, 2024. Ciak, si gira! scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10 at at 8:30 p.m. at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti. On stage are the dancers of the Pockemon Crew, a leading company of the new international hip hop generation for a passionate tribute to the musical cinema of the 1930s and 1940s. Hip hop and black-and-white cinema: two arts born from the spontaneity of movement and from an irrepressible energy. With set design by Riyad Fghani, music by Alexis Roure "Psykot," lighting by Rudy Mueti and costumes by Nadine Chabannier, the virtuoso dancers burst into the black-and-white atmospheres of American musical comedies and transport us through the musical films that marked the Hollywood golden age, from Fred Astaire to Gene Kelly, from Vincent Minelli to Stanly Donen. The show is also a tribute of the authors' hometown of Lyon, where the Lumière Brothers' cinema was born in 1895.
