On the 150th anniversary of Virginia Reiter′s birth, Spoleto Festival dei 2Mondi in collaboration with the Virginia Reiter Association of Modena and the SIAE Theatre Museum of Burcardo, under the Patronage of the Emilia Romagna Region and the Province of Rome, realizes a dream of theater lovers: the rediscovery, through important documentary and iconographic evidence, of Virginia Reiter, an emblematic figure of Italian naturalistic theater. Inaugurated at the SIAE Theatre Museum in Rome′s Burcardo in March 2012, the exhibit features: a section reserved for documents granted for the occasion by the actress´ family and the Virginia Reiter Cultural Association; a selection of documents from the collections of the SIAE Theater Library and the Burcardo Museum; autographed letters, portraits and caricatures, stage photos, playbills, newspapers of the time, a large poster and the actress´ beautiful costume in Madame Sans-Gêne, her workhorse.

The Virginia Reiter exhibition is part of the 150th Virginia Reiter event.
