The Raro Ensemble was formed in 2004 to experiment with an innovative approach to the rich European tradition of from chamber music. After international tours that include Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall to London, Musashino Hall to Tokyo, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the quartet presents to Spoleto the from chamber music of Eastern Europe, featuring pieces by Bartòk, Enescu, Schubert, Liszt, Martinu, and Ligeti.
