A concert of notes without geographical, stylistic, instrumental, structural, genre, form and era boundaries to communicate states of mind, feelings and traditions. With a staff of sixty musicians graduated from the conservatory and musical institutes of the region of Umbria, the Orchestra d′Armonia Città di Terni has given a particular coloring of excellent level to national holidays and to city festivities, contributing to keeping Terni′s musical vocation high. After "sold-out" seasons at the Verdi Theater, the Church of St. Francis and the Basilica of St. Valentine in Terni, the qualities of the ensemble have won wide recognition and in 1998 the 3rd prize in the 1st category of the National Competition to Turin. Performances in the Basilica of St. Paul to Rome, on the occasion of the Jubilee of 2000, and those in the churchyard of the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli (PG), in 2011, for the Feast of Forgiveness, were very successful. Several members of the ensemble have been winners in national competitions and some are currently members of renowned Military Bands. The orchestra′s repertoire - often enriched from compositions with organ, piano, solo singing, choir, violin, harp and dance - deals with specific themes by developing them in the choice of appropriate musical genres, celebratory or propositional, d′amusement or historical in nature. to this is complemented by original pieces for wind orchestra, opera elaborations, symphonies, jazz and famous film scores.
