The Review, enhancing period instruments located in churches in the area, will consist of four events starring the ancient Italian organ and the positive, as soloists or associated to instruments or voice. A path will be traced through characteristic pages of the relevant musical literature, authentically revived thanks to both the level of the artists involved and the specifications of the chosen organs.
Musical coordinator of the review is M°. Paolo Sebastiani, chair of Harmony Theory and Analysis at the Conservatorio "to. Casella," L'Aquila.
EMANUELA AGATONI
Emanuela Agatoni completed her musical studies at the Perugia Conservatory of Music "F. Morlacchi" earning, in 2009, a Level II Degree in Musical Disciplines under the guidance of Maestro Patrizio Scarponi.
He has attended several masterclasses and master classes, including the "Preggio festival" course taught by M° Scarponi and the Campus Musica in Fontecchio (AQ) with M° Hans Van Dijck.
Already as a student, and following graduation, I collaborated with various chamber ensembles, performing an interesting and appreciated concert activity in Italy and abroad.
From 2004 to 2009 he played steadily with the Symphony Orchestra of Perugia and Umbria conducted by Maestro G. Silveri.
He has collaborated with various orchestral from chamber and symphonic ensembles in Umbria and Tuscany including "I Solisti di Perugia," "Camerata Musicale Luigi Mori," "Orchestra Nova Prometeo," "Camerata Strumentale Umbra," the "Camerata Città di Prato" orchestra in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 winter seasons; and participated in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 opera season editions of the Florence Operafestival.
In addition to studying violin, she has also dedicated herself to the study of opera singing under the guidance of Prof. Sabrina Sannipoli. She has collaborated, both as soloist and chorister, with various choral ensembles including: "Ars Cantica" of Milan, the octet of the "Guido d'Arezzo" foundation, the "Vox Cordis" choir of Arezzo and the "Città di Bastia" choir with which, in 2000, she participated and won the "Guido d'Arezzo" National Competition as soprano soloist.
She is a vocal trainer for the Schola Cantorum "to.M. Abbatini" of Città di Castello and a music teacher in a number of School Institutes in the Valtiberino area.
ALEXANDER BIANCONI
Alessandro Bianconi graduated in 2008 from the "F. Morlacchi" Conservatory of Perugia, in Organ and Organ Composition, under the guidance of Wijnand van de Pol.
He has attended master classes and master classes with Michel Radulescu, Gherard Gnann, Bine Bryndorf, David Titterington and Josep M. Mas Bonet. He has participated in the most important Umbrian organ festivals including: "L. Antonini" Festival of Spoleto, the Maggio Organistico Amerino, the Dicembre Organistico of Città di Castello, the "Morettini" Organ Festival of Panicate and the Laurentian Organ Festival of Perugia.
In 2007 he won the second prize (first not awarded) at the I Concorso Organistico Internazionale sugli Organi Storici Del Basso Friuli and in 2009 the audience prize at the II Concorso Organistico Internazionale "Elvira di Renna."
In 2009 he performed for the "Amici della Musica" of Foligno the organ part in the premiere performance of Carlo Pedini's Oratorio Angela from Foligno.
He has performed several times for the Sagra Musicale Umbra accompanying, in 2010, the Philippine Madrigal Singers in the performance of Cherubini's Credo for 8 voices, in 2011, the New College Choir of Oxford performing Bernstein's Three Meditations from Mass and G. Fauré's Requiem. Faurè, in 2012, St. Jacob's Chamber Choir of Stockholm conducted from Gary Graden in the world premiere performance of Bruno Moretti's Credo, and in 2013, again with Jacob's Chamber Choir, M. Duruflè's Requiem.
Alongside his activity as organist, he also directs the Schola Cantorum "to.M. Abbatini" of Città di Castello with which, in 2010, he gave the first performance in modern times of the Missa Pro Defunctis by G. B. Martini and, in 2011, the first performance of the Missa Sanctorum Floridi et Amantii by Piero Caraba.
He is the author of several historical essays published in "Pagine Altotiberine" and "Arte Organaria Italiana" on organs and organ builders in the Valtiberino area.
He has recorded CDs for Rainbow, Quadrivium, Editrice Francescana and the Tactus label with whom, in 2013, he recorded the first performance in the modern era of Father Antonio Maria Musilli'sopera organistica.
He has been organist at the Papal Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi since 2008.
MARIANGELA CAMPOCCIA
Soprano Mariangela Campoccia, initiated to the study of piano at a young age, continued with that of singing with L. Marimpietri and later to Philadelphia (USA) with M. Casiello, a professor at the "Curtis Institute of Music." He attended master classes on the Lied with B. Roman and on vocality of the Baroque period with M° M. Morgan and R. Meister. She graduated with honors from the "S. Giacomantonio" Conservatory of Cosenza. In 2007 she brilliantly obtained a Level II Degree specializing in Chamber Singing at the Istituto Musicale pareggiato "G. Briccialdi" in Terni under the guidance of S. Rigacci. He has taken courses in Choir Direction with M° to. Cicconofri and M° B. Zagni.
She was awarded prizes at the singing competitions ''V. Bellini''-Caltanissetta and ''T. Schipa'' of Lecce.
She has performed in numerous concert seasons in Italy, abroad and in Italian theaters (Teatro Lirico in Lecce, Istituzione "Collegium Artis" in Rome, "Fête de la Musique" in Paris, "Festival dei Due Mondi" in Spoleto, etc...); soloist in chamber ensembles as well as performer in numerous solo recitals of the opera repertoire. A soloist also in the sacred repertoire( Vivaldi'sGloria and Magnificat , Schubert's Mass in C, Perosi's Il Natale del Redentore, Mozart's Requiem , etc.), he has held primary roles in Operas(Die Zauberflöte, Nozze di Figaro, Bohème, Cavalleria Rusticana, etc.) under the baton of M. Marvulli, H. Karius-Maier, F. Maraffi, F. Maestri and others. He transcribed and performed some arias by Spoleto's L. Vittori and premiered excerpts fromopera Fantasia Pagana by to. Onofri.
Since 1988 he has been teaching singing at the Municipal School of Music ''to. Onofri'' of Spoleto.
GABRIELE CATALUCCI
Born in Amelia (Terni), he studied piano in his hometown with Pina Ardizzone; he then graduated at the "Morlacchi" Conservatory of Perugia both in Organ and Organ Composition, under the guidance of Wijnand van de Pol, and in Harpsichord, after studying with Annaberta Conti and Maria Teresa Garatti. He has also studied, in addition, conducting and attended to master classes, for organ with Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini at the Pistola Academy and for harpsichord with Kenneth Gilbert at the "Cini" Foundation in Venice. He has attended courses at the School of Paleography and Musical Philology of the University of Pavia, brilliantly passing its exams.
Upon completion of his studies, he embarked on a concert career as harpsichord, organ and fortepiano soloist and as orchestra and choir conductor in many seasons and theaters in Italy and abroad (Austria, Argentina, France, Germany, Norway,Poland, Spain, Switzerland,Turkey).
He has made numerous recordings (over 20 CDs for Bongiovanni, Eco, Frequenz, Dynamic, Carrara) and radio recordings for RAI as conductor, organist, harpsichordist and on the fortepiano. He has edited revisions of melodramas and sacred and instrumental music of the 17th - 19th centuries, given many seminars on various aspects of performance practice of early music and has been invited as a jury member in choral competitions.
At the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali "G. Briccialdi" in Terni, he is currently Director and holder of the chair of General Musical Culture and the course of Historical Keyboards in the Experimental Higher Biennium; in this area he devotes himself to the study and teaching of the keyboard repertoire up to the early nineteenth century, which he also delves into on his original fortepianos Clementi & Co. (London 1827) and Johann Schanz (Wien 1820-25).
He directs the Amerina Chorale and is Director of music and Titular organist at the English Anglican Church "All Saints' " in Rome. He plays in a duo with Andrea Di Mario (Baroque trumpet) with whom he founded the Girolamo fantini Ensemble (3/5 Baroque trumpets and timpani and organ-drum).
NICOLO DEGL'INNOCENTI
Nicolò Degl'Innocenti undertook the study of the cello at the Conservatory "San Pietro to Majella" in Naples with M° L. Signorini and graduated in 1995 at the Conservatory "D. Cimarosa "in Avellino under the guidance of M° R. Parente. Subsequently, he improved with M° R. Filippini by attending the Academy "W. Stauffer" in Cremona.
He also attends at the "Scuola di Musica di Fiesole" the Special Courses of Music from Chamber Music held by the "Trio di Milano". He takes first place in the National and International Competitions of "to.M.to. Calabria " and Acireale in trio formation.
He follows various master classes with M° R. Filippini (Foligno, Città di Castello, Fiesole..) and orchestral training (Lanciano...) He collaborates with various orchestras, symphonic and from chamber, including: Orchestra Alessandro Scarlatti of Naples, Orchestra Sinfonica of Grosseto, Orchestra from Camera Fiorentina, Orchestra Agimus Florence and Arezzo, Opera Festival and others, playing with conductors and soloists such as P. Maag, O. Màga, M. Pradella, P. Bellugi, F. Petracchi, R. Filippini, D. Renzetti, L. Jia, F.to. Krager, F. Ayo, G. Angeleri, M. Fornaciari, M. Ancillotti ...
He is a member of the baroque ensemble "La Corte Sveva," a small baroque group that plays on original instruments.
ANDREA DI MARIO
Andrea Di Mario, Rome 1966. Studied with his father Giacomo, then at the Conservatory "S.Cecilia" in Rome with M° Gastone Franchi. Then perfected at the National Academy "S.Cecilia," with M. Bennett and to. Plog, won national competitions and auditions. He has collaborated with major Italian orchestras, including the Acc. Naz. "S.Cecilia," Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, RAI Radiotelevisioneitaliana. He founded the Italian Brass Group , the Rome Brass Quintet and the Tubilustrium Ensemble. He is 1st trumpet soloist of the Roma Sinfonietta, with which he is from more than a decade on world tour with Maestro E. Morricone. Of the maestro he has recorded soundtracks as soloist as well as his absolute music. Also in a solo role, he has recorded with Bacalov, Ortolani, Piersanti, Buonvino and Piovani, among others. With the instrumental group Musica d'Oggi, and the Ensemble in Canto, he has performed premieres of major contemporary composers. Since 2010 he has been First Trumpet of the PMCE in Rome (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble). He has played in theaters and from concert halls of absolute prestige in the world. With the baroque trumpet he collaborates with: Cappella della Pietà de' Turchini, Complesso Barocco, Ensemble Seicentonovecento, Ensemble In Canto, Accademia Hermans, Concerto de' Cavalieri, Capilla Real de Madrid, Teatro Armonico, Centro Italiano di Musica Antica. He plays in a duo with G. Catalucci (historical keyboards), with whom he founded the "G. Fantini" ensemble. He has played live for numerous national and foreign radio-television stations. He has recorded for: Bongiovanni, Ricordi, Naxos, Sony, Universal, Bottega Discantica. He is artistic director of the Musica in Carcere festival and creator of the Musi(to)c(qu) projectto for the construction of water wells in arid areas of the world.
MARTA LAZZERI
Marta Lazzeri graduated in July 2002 under the guidance of maestro to. Perpich with full marks and honors, at the Conservatorio Musicale "E.R.Duni" in Matera. From 1996 to 2000 she attended the "L.Perosi" Higher International Academy in Biella under the guidance of maestro C. Romano. Later she perfected with maestro M. Fiorini. Currently, she is also devoting herself to the study of baroque violin with maestro S. Montanari. In duo with piano, she attended master classes held by masters F. Rossi, K. Bogino. He collaborates with pianists Marco Lazzeri, Samuele Amidei and Andrea Turini. With the latter and cellist Alice Gabbiani he also formed a trio with which he toured Spain. He teaches violin at the Music School "Le 7 note" (AR) affiliated with the "R.Franci" IMP in Siena and at the "Accademia Musicale Valdarnese" in S.Giovanni V.no (AR).
As for teaching, she is specializing and is certified in the second level of the Suzuki Method at L'Istituto Suzuki Italiano (ISI). Several of her students have been awarded in various national music performance competitions. Since 2003, she has been a stable member of the ensemble "Musici Aurei," whose musical director is Luigi Piovano, first solo cello of the Symphony Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia. This instrumental group, composed from thirteen elements, has collaborated with soloists and conductors of international prestige such as M.W.Chung, to. Pappano, F.J.Thiollier, F.Manara, L.Bacalov, S.Bollani, G.Allevi, M.Vacatello, S.Bustric, G.Bertagnolli, S.Mingardo, L.De Fusco, M. Campanella, F. Nicolosi with whom he recorded, for the Naxos label, the complete piano concertos of G.Paisiello. With the same group he made a tour in Japan, which saw the ensemble perform in prestigious halls in the most important cities of the Asian nation. Recently released on the Eloquentia label was the CD The four Seasons (Vivaldi), solo violinist G.Raimondi. With that ensemble she also performed at the Cappella Paolina del Quirinale live on RadioRai3. In 2010 she collaborated with the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
He currently serves as M° preparatore of the string section of the Arezzo Youth Orchestra (which has many of his students in it), with which he recently played from soloist and together with M° M. Fornaciari in a Vivaldi program. He plays a 1998 P.Sorgentone.
ANGELO SILVIO ROSATI
He graduated with highest honors in Organ and Organ Composition from the "F. Morlacchi" Conservatory of Perugia, also earning a "Bachelor's Degree" in organ at the prestigious "Curtis Institute of Music" in Philadelphia (PA - USA). Subsequently, he deepened his study of ancient literature for organ with L. F. Tagliavini, M. Chapuis, H. Vogel and J. L. Gonzalez Uriol.
He performs regularly as a soloist, soloist with orchestra, choir accompanist and as a member of various chamber ensembles. He has also recorded as harpsichordist and organist for the Bongiovanni and Tactus labels.
His numerous performances in Italy, Germany, the U.S. and Mexico include concerts at Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, in the "Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church" in New York, in the "Fernando Germani" Organ Festival in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Aracoeli to Rome and in the International Organ Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico.
LIUWE TAMMINGA
Liuwe Tamminga is considered one of the foremost experts on the Italian organ repertoire of the 16th and 17th centuries. He is owner of the historic organs of the Basilica of S. Petronio to Bologna together with Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, where he plays the two magnificent instruments by Lorenzo from Prato (1471-75) and Baldassarre Malamini (1596). He has recorded numerous CDs, Marc'Antonio Cavazzoni'sopera complete ("Diapason d'Or," German Record Critic's Award 2005, Goldberg 5-Star Award), Frescobaldi's Fantasie (Best Record of the Month Amadeus March 2006), Mozart on Italian Organs (German Record Critic's Award 2006 and Diapason 5-Star Award), and the recording dedicated to Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli, made with L. F. Tagliavini ("Choc de la musique" and Antonio Vivaldi International Disc Prize of the Cini Foundation of Venice 1991). In 2006 the release of Gli organi storici dell'Appennino Modenese (Diapason and Musica 5 stelle), in 2008 three CDs dedicated to Fiorenzo Maschera, the historical organs of the Canary Islands and to Giacomo Puccini, all three awarded five stars by "Musica" magazine, Puccini also with the "Diapason d'Or," and in 2011 Frescobaldi's Ricercari (Diapason d'Or), and a recording dedicated to the Ballo di Mantova.
He has edited a number of editions of organ music, including the Musica Nova ricercari (1540), keyboard works by Giovanni de Macque, Marc'Antonio Cavazzoni and Pierluigi di Palestrina, ricercari by Jacques Buus and Musiche per due organi by Italian masters around 1600.
Since 2010, he has been curator of the museum of musical instruments "San Colombano-collection Tagliavini" to Bologna.
His intense concert activity has taken him all over Europe, the United States and Japan.
