LA MAMA SPOLETO OPEN 2016
A contemporary reinterpretation of the relationship between Pilades and Orestes from Greek mythology and the Oresteia, a poetic, tragic meditation on democracy, consumerism and the struggle for true social change. A powerful and provocative staging, a courageous and extreme performance that brings to new life to Pasolini's beautiful text, here translated into English, whose rhythm and emotional richness are combined with music and body movement. On stage are the extraordinary performers of the Great Jones Repertory Company, a historic company of La Mama Theatre, directed from Ivica Buljian, artistic director of the Croatian National Theater, a director internationally known for his strong and physically engaging theater.
