a Peter Stein
Recognition intended for personalities whose works and thought support the progress of civilization.
Montblanc participates as a Sponsor in the 56th edition of the Spoleto Festival dei 2 Mondi, thus renewing its support for culture and art in all its forms. As part of such an event of excellence, the Maison, on the occasion of the dress rehearsal of its show The Return to home by Harold Pinter, bestows an award on director Peter Stein, a great interpreter of art and authorial theater, a master recognized for his ability to reread the great classics of European culture in a contemporary key from Aeschylus to Pinter via Shakespeare and Chekhov.
The Maison donates to Stein the fountain pen that symbolizes patronage and the dissemination and protection of culture: the Montblanc Patron of Art dedicated to Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan. It has been since 1992 that Montblanc has been paying tribute to the most important patrons of history, who have distinguished themselves for their passion for art and culture, with the from writing instrument collection Patron of Art. This year Montblanc pays tribute to Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, a man of multifaceted intellect, a fine humanist skilled diplomat but above all a great patron who called to his court artists and architects of legendary talent such as Leonardo from Vinci and Donato Bramante.
