Seventh edition of the award established by the Monini family to honor the international talent of one of the Festival's leading figures and that of a young artist.
This year the award is given to Alba Rohrwacher, who will to accrà to greet the audience from the window on Piazza Duomo of Casa Menotti, after receiving the award from Maria Flora and Zefferino Monini. She will thus be portrayed in a gesture that echoes the same tradition, which has now become an icon of the festival, of Gian Carlo Menotti. The actress is featured to Spoleto59 as theInnamorata, the protagonist of Patrizia Cavalli's play Tre risvegli. The special prize will instead go to young opera hopeful Emily D'Angelo, at the Festival in the role of Cherubino inopera Le nozze di Figaro.
