The partnership between Martini and Spoleto is renewed again this year. In fact, for the sixth year Martini & Rossi participates in the Festival dei 2Mondi with its "Special Award for Versatility." A sponsorship that, as is now customary, also becomes an active presence in the playbill of the celebrated Italian cultural event.
In this edition, the award will be given to Serena Autieri, who has precisely versatility as one of the cornerstones of her work. Beloved by the great film and television audience for her participation to films, dramas and programs of great success, in recent years Autieri has continued to to carry out, in parallel, a rich activity as an actress in both theater and cinema, collaborating with major Italian names.
In any case, beyond the composite and rich curriculum, for Martini this is a choice that rewards an artist now in the midst of expressive maturity.
The silver kylix that is the symbol of the Martini Special Prize for Versatility (it is a reproduction of an ancient pottery cup from the 2nd cent. to.C. preserved at the Martini Museum of the History of Enology) will be handed over to Serena Autieri at the San Nicolò Theater on June 30, during a brief ceremony that will follow the performance of La Sciantosa, a show in which Autieri will hold the stage completely from alone, singing and dancing, in the best tradition of Neapolitan sciantose of the Belle Epoque.
From the activities of the Terrazze Martini to the star testimonials of its campaigns (Sharon Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, to name but the latest celebrities), the brand is traditionally one of the closest to the world of film and entertainment. The presence to Spoleto -a small city that for two weeks will be transformed into a large animated stage from music, theater, cinema, opera and dance- fits into this line, which is the history and present of the Martini philosophy. That of a company attentive to marry, in the world as in Italy, the best challenges carried out in the name of renewal and excellence, qualities that have led to it to celebrate, in this 2013, the important milestone of 150 years since its birth.
