BABX + Adrien Mondot
Piano piano
Multidisciplinary artist Adrien Mondot, of the duo Adrien M & Claire B, creates a novel device that mixes digital juggling with the delicate sonic universe of the eclectic musician BABX.
Literally immersed in an "image space," the instrument and the musician become the protagonists of a dreamlike epic that oscillates between abstraction and impressionism. Making suspended vibrations visible, feeling the vibration of a chord, but also seeing silence and hearing darkness.
"In this project I develop a series of tools to play with the images and allow the video projection to be as alive as possible, to breathe with the rhythm as much as with the sound of the notes," says Adrien M. "I put the music in motion and juggle a metaphorical material, designing digital systems of masses, gravity, inertia that recreate the play of forces and invent a theater of physical balance."
In a bare space, the image embodies the missing notes of the music. The encounter is approached with a logic of mutual aid and co-construction, avoiding subordination and contrived relationships where the image is no more than a setting or the music an accompaniment.

The two artists, the musician and the digital magician, thus find themselves on a stage together as they did so many years before, in a magical space, a kind of virtual hortus conclusus in which billions of pixels dance and take shape, creating protean scenery and rapacious choreography.

Multidisciplinary artist, computer scientist and juggler born 1979 to Grenoble. He is interested in movement and works at the intersection of juggling art and computer innovation. Since 2011, he has been artistic director of the company Adrien M & Claire B. Together to Claire Bardainne creates performances and installations in the field of visual and performing arts. Initially trained as a computer researcher, he worked for three years at the INRIA Center in Grenoble Rhône-Alpes. In 2004 he created his company Adrien M, with the aim of fusing digital arts, sound, juggling and movement, exploring the links between technological innovation and artistic creation. Relying on to tools he custom-builds, he breaks free from the laws of gravity and time, creates confusion, and plays with circus art and computer science in work at the intersection of illusion, magic, dance, and poetry. In 2011 he joined forces with Claire Bardainne and founded the company Adrien M & Claire B. All works are created to four hands and the company is directed from both. Their goal is to create living digital art: mobile, artisanal, ephemeral, and responsive. Today the company has about thirty collaborators, with three shows and two exhibitions touring internationally. Its headquarters and research and creation studio are located to Lyon and to Crest, France.

At the very least, from follow closely." Following its release, the album is nominated for the Victoires de la Musique in the "Revelation of the Year" category. In 2008, BABX and his team record the second album Cristal Ballroom, inspired by the musicians in the from ballroom of the Titanic. In 2010, he directed and produced Camelia Jordana's first album, becoming one of the leading producers in the French music scene. In 2015, BABX founded his own production label, "BisonBison," to give to himself and other artists the means to realize their projects in complete independence.
