PALAZZO COLLICOLA ARTI VISIVE
Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts confirms its polymorphous and diffuse nature, integrating exhibitions in the museum with interventions scattered throughout the historic city. Along the rooms of the Piano Nobile one encounters the interactive works of Camilla Ancilotto, author of hybrid portraits that transform play into an open boundary between painting and sculpture. On the Piano Mostre an anthological exhibition is dedicated to Giuseppe Biasio, a rediscovery in the furrow of the museum's informal tradition, an artist undergoing revaluation who presents (here to Spoleto with an anthological exhibition, at the Pavilion of Syria - Venice Biennale - with a cycle dedicated to Palmira) his universe from the 1970s to the present. Also on display on the Exhibition Floor is a pictorial cycle by writer Tommaso Pincio, a real surprise in defining new relationships between literature and visual art. The Collection confirms itself as the Ptolemaic center of the Palace, a heritage that evolves through new donations(Beverly Pepper the most important) and several site-specific installations: Veronica Montanino presents the final version of her Chamber of Wonders, a sensory journey that envelops the viewer in a dizzying kaleidoscope; inside the Gardens of Corso Matteotti is inaugurated Ria Lussi's giant luminaria, a light sculpture dedicated to the philosophical metaphors of Giordano Bruno; at the Station, Giorgio Lupattelli'sopera fotodigitale is presented, a homage to Spoleto and the values of the Region of Umbria, a futuristic surreal journey on the ceiling of the glazed hall and on some vertical walls of the waiting rooms. Temporary interventions in the heart of the city include** Giuseppe Ripa** with a photographic cycle on the open theme of ecology, a project in nine prints with a presence in the museum and a from exterior version on Fuller's Spoletosfera; and then, at SS Giovanni e Paolo, Julien Friedler with a mysterious installation between sculptural bodies, sound and light... while at Casa Romana it's the turn of Dario Ghibaudo with a series of sculptures from journey, in tune with the utopian construction of his Museum of Unnatural History... but the events don't end there: Palazzo Collicola opens to the public its Collicolab, a floor of the museum that houses the brand new House of Architecture, the sound chambers of the collective Do iT, the **Space Arcadia** on design themes... ending with a temporary exhibition on the theme of hemp (in collaboration with the Umbria Region, Milan Polytechnic, Hemp Museum) entitled Fabric Action. The Collicoland events continue (to curated by Gianluca Marziani and Andrea Tomasini) with a day dedicated to Charles Simic, one of the greatest living poets; also, cross-disciplinary writer **Gianluigi Ricuperati **talks to us about linguistic crossings and sensible contaminations; and to close a meeting with chef **Antonello Colonna **with whom we converse about virtuous links between art, food and architecture.
