CONTAMINAZIONI
to Two years after the first exhibition organized by the gallery "Officina d'Arte&Tessuti" to Spoleto returns this year "Spoleto Fiberart.II - Contaminations" from June 30 to July 31. The exhibition, curated from Maria Giuseppina Caldarola, is staged between the Museum of Costume and Textiles and the gallery spaces in Via Plinio il Giovane. The fiber medium is represented in all possible declinations, from here the subtitle "Contaminations." In addition to established artists, including "historical" figures such as Lydia Predominato and Anna Moro Lin, the presence of a large representation of young people. This is thanks to the collaboration with DARS of Udine, an association that promotes and organizes the biennial Review of the Artist's Book, which presents the selection of its latest edition (2016). In particular, it will be possible to view the work of teachers and students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and Barcelona, the art high schools of Udine and Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the International School of Graphics in Venice. Also invited were students and faculty from the Paper Technology courses of the Academies of Fine Arts in Rome and Milan, as well as from the School of Ornamental Arts of Roma Capitale, "weaving" and "tapestry" sections. The Association le Arti Tessili, organizer of the Valcellina Prize, will instead present four foreign artists from from Germany, Poland, Japan, and South Korea.
DARS, in addition to student works, features artists Giulia Maria Belli and Paolo Brasa, with artist-teachers: Eva Figueras Ferrer, Manuela Candini, and Roberta Feoli. With artist-teacher Margherita Labbe, Giulio Locatelli, Alessandro D'Isanto and Guido Nosari are exhibiting, while with Riccardo Ajossa, works by Giulia Carioti, Claudia Roma, Giulia Cabassi, Elisa Garrafa, Matilde Guarnieri and Gianna Parisse are presented. Also featured are Lydia Predominato, Anna Moro Lin, Virginia Ryan, Justin Thompson, Noushin Moghtader Gilvaei, Marilena Scavizzi, Wanda Nazzari, Maria Grazia Medda, Annacarla Scanu, Annamaria Castellan, Anna Pięta, Deepa Panchamia, Wona Cho, Annet Erfurt, Cristina Mariani, Silvia Giani, Jennifer Balsamo, and Roberta Lozzi.
