Fourth of seven siblings educated in the love of art and music, Visconti to fourteen years old gave his first cello concert. His mother, Carla Erba, heir to the pharmaceutical dynasty, a piano graduate and friend of the greatest musicians of the time - from Verdi to Puccini, from Mascagni to Toscanini - and his father, Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone, a lover of Prose andOpera Theater, greatly influenced young Luchino´s passions.

After the eight-year interlude, in which Visconti devoted himself to the activity of horse trainer from gallop, it was the music of authorship - by Bruckner, Franz, Mahler, Wagner and others - that was the main theme of the great Maestro´sopera , director of no less than 83 works ranging from prose theater to opera, from films (some of them legendary, such as "Senso,""Rocco and His Brothers" or"Il gattopardo") to ballets.

Films, images and documents, including unpublished ones, from the family archives will be presented during the event, accompanied from by recordings of musical pieces.
