LIGHT FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD
First and only Italian date for Light from the Outside World, the project that Jeff Mills, together with the orchestra Roma Sinfonietta composed from 57 elements and conducted by maestro Gabriele Bonolis, brings to the stage at Piazza Duomo.
The greatest classics in Mills' repertoire, from always performed at the club, have been brought back to the sheet music, thanks in part to a collaboration with composer Thomas Russell. The orchestra is thus no longer an external and subordinate part of Mills' performance, but becomes a central figure, with specially written scores.
The legendary DJ fits perfectly into this symphonic arrangement, using microphones that record the orchestra ensemble and synthesizers, such as the famous "Roland TR 909," that modify and amplify the sounds reproduced by the 57 elements.
Mills thus gives, every time, a live-show performance and a unique and inimitable musical performance.
Light forms the outside world has already been produced at some of the most important theaters in the world, such as the Barbican Theatre in London and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
