Written from Gian Maria Cervo (author-in-residence with Roland Schimmelpfennig and Dejan Dukovski at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg), Il tempo libero combines angry farce and philosophical dialogues and consists of from episodes/meetings months apart (the full series includes five) in the chiaroscuro atmosphere of our economy, to starting with the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy. The first episode premiered at the Schauspiel Essen, Germany, in 2008; the second was the 2010 opening event at the Gunagu Theater in Bratislava and then debuted, directed from Carlo Fineschi, with the Italian cast. Thematically associating one episode with Sol LeWitt′sopera , the series is offered in a site-specific edition to Palazzo Collicola .
