CONCORSO SOCIALLY CORRECT 2012
UN FUTURO DA STUDIARE
Il diritto allo studio come forma di tutela dell′infanzia e dell′adolescenza
Established to commemorate the figure of the great publicist Paolo Ettorre, promoter of numerous campaigns on issues of social relevance, the Association "Paolo Ettorre - Socially Correct," in collaboration with Spoleto Festival dei 2Mondi, promotes a competition for the development of a communication campaign on a topic of social relevance and awards a scholarship. The competition is aimed at to students residing in Italy attending universities, public and private schools, professional courses, post-graduate specialization courses in the field of communication. to each member of the creative pair winning the competition is offered an unpaid internship, respectively in the role of art director and copywriter, at the creative department of Saatchi & Saatchi Agency in one of the offices in Rome or Milan. The social campaign on which the participants are competing this year addresses a highly topical issue: the right to study. The communication project of the Socially Correct Competition 2012, under the patronage of the Guarantor Authority for Childhood and Adolescence, aims to raise public awareness - particularly among the younger generations - on the phenomenon of school disaffection and dropout: a serious and urgent problem for the individual and for society. In Italy, 18.8 percent of young people interrupt their studies early - a percentage far from the European target of 10 percent - and almost half of school dropouts do not have a job. The campaign should express the value of study as a right, as an opportunity to discover talents that broaden our future prospects, and as an essential qualification for access to work and full participation in society. The winning campaign is presented on June 30, 2012.
