The Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, prof. Valerio De Cesaris, traces in a historical key the birth and evolution of Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, which has contributed over time to a progressive redevelopment and internationalization of the city of Spoleto, placing culture at the center of a constant process of cultural growth, social and economic growth of the territory and thus representing the prelude to a model of sustainability, in the wake of what would become established as the main goals of sustainable development, promoted in particular by the United Nations Agenda 2030 and to which the University for Foreigners of Perugia is also deeply inspired by.
