To know how to read in our contemporaneity the signs of the future that awaits us. Understanding where the transformations crossing our time are leading us and having the courage to face them trying to interpret what "will happen tomorrow." With these suggestions, after the great success of past editions, "Gli incontri di Paolo Mieli," a series of conversations presented from Hdrà and conducted from one of the most influential voices of Italian journalism, return to the Festival dei 2Mondi. Under Mieli's lens, the personalities who have been able to impose their pace on the political, economic and cultural life of our country, pressed from questions that are always sharp and never banal, will reconstruct the moment when they decided to change the rules of the game, nullifying the fine line between judgment and chance. A choice that in the flash of a second marked the trajectory of their future.

A journalist and historian, in the 1970s a pupil of Renzo De Felice and Rosario Romeo, he was a journalist atEspresso, then to Repubblica and at La Stampa, where he was also editor. From 1992 to 1997 and from 2004 to 2009 he edited Corriere della Sera. His books for Rizzoli include Le storie, la storia (1999), _Storia e politica (2001), La goccia cinese (2002), I conti con la storia _(2013) and _L'arma della memoria _(2015). Era d'ottobre, produced from Corvino Productions, is his theatrical debut.
