Gli anni Menotti 1958-1998
The exhibition The Menotti Years 1958 - 1998, hosted at the spaces at 12 Via Saffi, offers the public an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich artistic and historical heritage of Festival dei Due Mondi.
Visitors will be able to admire the costumes from Leoš Janáček's 1998 Volpe Astuta , directed by Roman Terleckyj, with sets and costumes by David Hughes; from 1972's Ascent and Ruin of the City of Mahagonny, directed from Giuseppe Padroni Griffi with sets by Claudio Cintoli and Ferdinando Scarfiotti and costumes by Gabriella Pescucci; and from 1995's The Nose, directed by Roman Terleckyj, who also curated the sets, and costumes by Alessandro Ciammarughi. Also on display are clothes from the 1978 show La morte e la fanciulla, with choreography by Alberto Testa and costumes by Emilio Farina.
After a work of recovery and identification, the exhibition also hosts the original sketches of costumes and theatrical scenes, as well as to forty photographs that testify to the cultural, social and international richness of the "Menotti years," thanks to the collaboration with the Istituto Luce.
Finally, the exhibition is expanded with a series of period films covering the years from 1958 to 1998, along with to redigitized images of the reports broadcast by Radar and Luce newsreels re-edited from Roland Sejko, thanks to the collaboration of Casa Menotti Centro di Documentazione sul Festival dei Due Mondi.

The exhibition is open from July 28 to October 15, 2023, from friday to Sunday with hours 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
