CONSERVATORY "FRANCESCO MORLACCHI" OF PERUGIA
The "Francesco Morlacchi" Conservatory of Music in Perugia, heir to the music school founded to Perugia in 1788, now offers first- and second-level academic diploma courses (three-year and two-year) for all instruments, singing, composition, electronic music, choral music, jazz, and music education. In addition to the study of the chosen instrument (or singing, or composition), chamber music from and orchestral and choral practice, the training of students includes the study of theoretical, historical and analytical musical disciplines, and a series of master classes, seminars, workshops aimed at deepening specific aspects of the repertoire and broadening study experiences, through meetings with important Italian and foreign musicians and experts. Students can participate to European (Erasmus) and international exchanges: agreements with more than 30 foreign institutions are currently active. The Symphony Orchestra, the String Orchestra, the Wind Orchestra, the Choir, the Children´s Choir, the Brass and Percussion Group, the Big Band and numerous from chamber groups are active today.
Director of the Conservatory has been composer Stefano Bracci since 2008.
