SCUOLADI MUSICA DI FIESOLE
The Scuola di Musica di Fiesole was founded in 1974 as a free association at
opera by Piero Farulli and a group of musicians and music lovers. It has from always emphasized ensemble music: the student began at the age of six to to be part of the Crescendo ensemble and then continued with the Orchestra dei Ragazzi, the Orchestra Vincenzo Galilei and finally the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, which has had the honor of having such conductors as Abbado, Ferro Muti, Sinopoli, Giulini and Tate. In addition to the basic courses, the School offers annual master classes with teachers such as M. Tipo, N. Gutman, P. Vernikov, B. Canino, F. Helmerson, G. Corti, M. Postinghel, C. THE SOLOISTS OF PERUGIA
String Orchestra
Formed at the dawn of the new millennium, "i Solisti di Perugia" now represent, on the international scene, a well-established reality as an excellent string ensemble, an ideal bridge between the tradition of the most famous Italian chamber ensembles and a new, unmistakable interpretive approach in which research and exegetical attention to detail are expressed with a sound rich in charm, vivacity and expression, universally recognized as the group′s distinctive feature.
Already present in the playbills of the most important Italian concert societies, in the tours in which they perform regularly (abroad in Japan, Spain, USA, France, Germany, Greece...) "i Solisti" offer a repertoire ranging from the Baroque, through Classicism and the rare as considerable Romantic compositions, to the most diverse musical expressions of the Italian and non-Italian twentieth century, always respecting the linguistic specificity of each era.
