_The Polar Truth _transforms the perception of the drama of people affected by the HIV virus. A group of HIV-positive young people, rejected and persecuted by people to close to them and their families, end up abandoning society to create a kind of "insular" world. This is their only opportunity to succeed where society has failed: they struggle to overcome personal conflicts, jealousies and shortcomings in an attempt to live in a community that is truly based on justice, trust and goodwill. It is a´opera play by Klavdiev, so it cannot be a simple story nor possess a happy ending. There are many attacks on the utopia of the tale, and the community members themselves are aware that they are somewhat doomed. However, they understand that they have a chance to build a better world than the one they left behind, thus granting themselves an important moral victory.
