PREMIO MONINI "UNA FINESTRA SUI DUE MONDI"
Terza edizione
Looking out of the window is a simple, everyday gesture: it expresses a spontaneous desire for openness and exchange between an exclusive private dimension and the life that animates the outside world, and brings back memories of the greetings that Maestro Menotti and his guest artists used to address from the famous window overlooking Piazza Duomo to the Festival audience. Moments of cheerful naturalness that bridged the "distance" between the big names of the world art scene and the festive Festival audience. Celebrating that tradition, today from Casa Menotti overlooks the winners of the Una Finestra sui Due Mondi Award, established in 2010 by the Monini family, from always a supporter of the Festival. After John Malkovich, Adriana Kucerova, Adriana Asti and Claudio Santamaria, again this year two of the Festival′s great artists and young talents pay tribute to the audience from that same window. Due to the high symbolic value of the Monini Prize, the photographic portraits of the winners will permanently enrich the gallery of the "Greats of the Festival" in the halls of Casa Menotti, which became in 2011 the seat of the Festival Documentation Center thanks to the commitment of the Monini Foundation.
