"A Window on the Two Worlds" Award

SECOND EDITION

Established in 2010 at the behest of the Monini family, at the helm from three generations of the homonymous Umbrian extra virgin olive oil company and from always a supporter of the Spoleto Festival, the "A Window on the Two Worlds" Prize is awarded from a jury of quality to the artist whose talent is internationally recognized and contributes to establishing the Festival as a stage of global importance.

Also awarded each year by the same jury is the Special Prize of the same name addressed to artists or personalities who, to variously, have particularly contributed to enhancing the fame of the Festival.

The first to to receive the Award, actors John Malkovich and Adriana Asti - Special Award - were portrayed at the window of Casa Menotti overlooking Piazza Duomo, in keeping with the tradition of Maestro Menotti and his guest artists greeting the Festival audience right from that window, under the flashes of photographers.

Tradition that will be renewed with the winners of the second edition who will thus become to part of the gallery of the"Greats of the Festival" exhibited inside Casa Menotti, which became home since June 25, 2010 to the Documentation Center of Festival dei Due Mondi thanks to the commitment of the Monini Foundation.
