The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto continues its interventions to support of art and culture within an ever-increasing and effective synergy with all public and private entities that, by natural vocation, operate in the field of the enhancement and preservation of artistic and cultural heritage.
In this context, the Foundation has from always shown special attention to the activities of Festival dei Due Mondi. Also this year it supports the event and offers an award as a special recognition to one of the performers present at the Festival who has distinguished himself in his professional activity for artistic expressiveness and human values. Salvatore Finocchi, President of the Foundation, presents the award to Ivàn Fischer, founder, together with Zoltàn Kocsis, of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and its principal conductor, with whom the season of orchestras-in-residence opens at Festival dei Due Mondi.
