Over the course of the coming seasons, Beatrice Rana will make debuts with the New York Philharmonic, the Orchestre de Paris, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsches Sinfonie Orchester, the London Symphony Orchestra, and will return to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Filarmonica della Scala, the Orchestra dell´Accademia di Santa Cecilia, and the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. She will also hold tours with the Vienna Symphoniker and Andrés Orozco-Estrada, the LSO and Gianandrea Noseda, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and Gustavo Gimeno, and the Zurich Philharmonia and Fabio Luisi. Beatrice Rana will perform on the stage of Carnegie Hall as part of the Virtuoso series, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Scherzo Great Performers series in Madrid, the Gilmore Keyboard Festival, the Laisiszhalle in Hamburg (Pro Arte Series), return to Concertgebouw and Wigmore Hall, and be a guest at numerous festivals. She will also continue through 2022 her collaboration with the Dortmund Konzerthaus as "Junge Wilde" and on tour with violinist Renaud Capuçon. Beatrice Rana records exclusively for Warner Classics. In 2015, her first album featuring Prokofiev´s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Tchaikovsky´s Piano Concerto No. 1, performed with Antonio Pappano and the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia in Rome, received international accolades including Gramophone Magazine´s prestigious Editor´s Choice and BBC Music Magazine´s Newcomer of the Year award. The year 2017 will remain a milestone in his career with the release of Bach´s Goldberg Variations. The recording was praised by critics worldwide and received two major awards: "Young Artist of the Year" at the Gramophone Awards and "Discovery of the year" at the Edison Awards. In June 2018, Beatrice Rana was chosen as ´female artist of the year´ at the Classic BRIT Awards at the Royal Albert Hall for her recording of Bach. Her latest solo album was released in October 2019, featuring works by Stravinsky and Ravel, and has received numerous awards including Diapason d´Or and Choc de la Classique in France. In June 2013, Beatrice Rana won a silver medal (2nd prize) and the ´public´ award at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
However, she had attracted international attention as early as to 18 years old, winning first prize and all special prizes at the Montreal International Competition in 2011. Born from a family of musicians in 1993, Beatrice Rana made her debut as a soloist in orchestra at the age of 9, performing Bach´s Concerto in F minor. She began her musical studies to four years old and graduated in piano under Benedetto Lupo at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli, where she also studied composition with Marco della Sciucca. She later studied with Arie Vardi in Hannover and again with Benedetto Lupo at the Academy of Santa Cecilia.
