artistic direction Gianluca Marziani
A polyphonic symphony of looks at the simmering world. Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts offers different exhibition directions that span nations, languages and themes with a strong ethical grip. Installations and paintings by American EUGENE LEMAY are distributed on the Piano Nobile, a path that crosses burning topical issues with the author´s complex life. **ANDREA PACANOWSKI **at the Exhibition Floor proposes photography of pure pictorial energy, a series of crazy to long field on the theme of the three religious monotheisms: three global realities that are transformed into geometric rhythm, chromatic harmony, figurative balance. GIORGIO ORTONA, also on the Exhibition Floor, leads us into his sparse and analytical painting, a figurative reflection on the deep structures that govern man, the city, buildings and objects. On the same floor exhibits Israeli YIGAL OZERI, author of astonishing female portraits with a disturbing pictorial hyperrealism. GIUSEPPE PULVIRENTI (in collaboration with Valentina Bonomo) presents, in the first room of the Collicola Collection, an exhibition of mysterious sculptures, small objects with cerebral rigor and a metaphysical heart. In the other rooms of the Collection are the artistic jewels of GIORGIO FACCHINI (and of great artists such as Calder, Fontana, Lichtenstein, Picasso...) that create an effective dialogue with various works from the permanent collection. In the Sten&Lex room comes ROBERTA PIZZORNO with her dreamy ink and watercolors. At Casa Romana lands the Campania-based duo TTOZOI, fresh from their successes at the Reggia di Caserta and the Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii: their exhibition, made with the biological principle of natural molds, installs itself in the place with sidereal perfection. TORU HAMADA, a Japanese artist who will exhibit to Palazzo Collicola next fall, brings to Spoleto, in front of the Teatro Nuovo, a marble sculpture that integrates into the outdoor sculpture circuit. Finally, at the entrance to the museum stands the installation that DAVID POMPILI has dedicated to the important faces of Spoleto, a tribute that resembles a beautiful cloud between memory and the future.
