In his selections, which range from jazz to the most refined downbeat to the most modern shades of techno, one can appreciate the "black" vein that characterizes his musical background. His continuous research and the ability to express himself in totally different realities make his sets always a perfect balance between experimentation and pure from club music. He is one of the two creative minds (together to Stefano Tucci), as well as resident DJ of the monthly Tangram night, which takes place at the Urban Club in Perugia, and features prestigious live acts (Nu Guinea band, Paranoid London, Magic Mountain High, Lone, Elektro Guzzi, Mount Liberation Unlimited, Tiger & Woods, just to name a few).

He has been collecting vinyl since 2013, when he and his friend Leonardo decided to reunite their parents' discographies and start to selecting records in clubs. He became more and more passionate about the warm, analog sound of vinyl and expanded his musical research, ranging from jazz and funk to softer house, passing through tribal and afro-futuristic sounds.

A devotee of pure electronics and lover of etched sound, Clapgen is considered devoid of a staid genre dimension. He modulates a transversal and controversial development of sound, pressing plastic and perpetual structures, an amalgamation of dense, soothing sound carpets and spasmodic rhythms.
