Through the fusion of dance and music, _Mother Earth _explores the natural elements, water, fire and air, which are necessary for life. The performance, as a kind of ritual ceremony, aims to draw attention to the issues of respect for the environment and nature.

Astad Deboo's name is synonymous with Indian Contemporary Dance. Over the course of a career spanning more than 46 years, Deboo has presented his shows in more than 65 countries, including solos and choreography created in collaboration with various artists. After studying Kathak and Kathakali since from boyhood, Astad traveled through the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan to study and observe other dance forms. While still young, he was invited from Pina Bausch to join his company, an extremely important experience in his artistic development. Deboo describes his dance style as "a contemporary language bound to tradition." Her dance is characterized from a strong intensity, concentration and virtuosity, accompanied from a recognizable Indian aesthetic that evokes rasa (emotions). He has received numerous awards and honors from the Indian government, which recognized him as a pioneer of contemporary dance in India. He has danced at many official events, including for the royal families of Thailand and Japan, Buthan and Sweden, as well as for the Indian President and others. He has also choreographed for several Bollywood films. In parallel, Deboo carries out an important humanitarian project, involving street children in New Delhi in art projects and working from over 20 years with deaf-mute people. In 2002 he founded the Astad Deboo Dance Foundation to provide creative training to youth and artists with disabilities. His performances have been presented at the Spoleto festival in Charlestown in the United States and at numerous international dance festivals in Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Australia, England and India.
A composer and musician with New York's La MaMa for more than 20 years, Yukio has worked as composer and musician for Estelle Parsons, Ellen Stewart, Jerome Robins, Julie Taymor, Al Pacino, Sir Peter Hall, John Dexter, Andrei Serban, Elisabeth Swados and many other leading directors. With Ellen Stewart he worked on the plays Medea, Electra, The Trojan Women, Seven and many other productions. He has composed more than 20 at of music for Kei Takei's show and his company Moving Earth Dance Company; he has composed and performed the music for many Broadway shows, collaborating with Al Pacino in Salome, Oedipus and Padre; with Estelle Parsons he has collaborated on Macbeth, Night Over Taos and others. Yukio arranged the music and played for the to Broadway edition of M. Butterfly; he composed and performed the music for the stage adaptation of Year Of The Dragon, for _Transposed Head _directed by Julie Taymor, _Tantalus Project _directed by Sir Peter Hall with the Royal Shakespeare Company, _Watermill _directed by Jerome Robins with the New York City Ballet, Window of The City for the Shanghai Expo. Yukio is also a member of the New York band "SaraGalas Band," with Sara Galassini.
