L’Orchetto
The Orc lives with his mother in a house in the heart of a forest, far from the village community. To escape the irresistible attraction he feels for fresh blood, he will have to face three trials, on the success of which his growth, his transformation, and his salvation will depend. He will then be able to fulfill his dream of being accepted within the village community. Accademia Perduta's artistic choice falls on a black and tender tale, which draws its inspiration from folk tales and is brought to the stage thanks to the fine and intelligent writing of the great children's author Suzanne Lebeau. A text, premiered in Italy, that has already been performed in thirteen countries around the world and has been a great success, especially in France, where this refined Canadian author is known and appreciated. Claudio Casadio, Daniela Piccari and Marcello Chiarenza confront this poetic, ironic and evocative text and make it their own, with the intention of entertaining, affabulating but also making the audience of children and families reflect. The staging, specially created byMarcello Chiarenza, makes use of a magical use of the theatrical space, in which the actors move lightly but also dramatically, and the stage play involves a succession of small magics, an evolution of continuous visual and sound suggestions, which captivates the spectator, until the final dissolution. The original music, in fact, designed to accompany a strong emotional impact, creates a background that underscores the drama of the various moments of the show.
