On the occasion of Festival dei Due Mondi FERCAM Echo Labs' social carpentry is moving to Spoleto, at the Gardens of the Casina dell'Ippocastano, with a proposal of eco-design workshops to make the most curious experience upcycling under the banner of responsible consumption. Artisans and young designers will guide those who want to try their hand at it for the entire duration of the workshop or even just for an hour.

How many children draw fantastic animals, megamonsters, princesses? Few can to build them! So why not ask a carpenter for help, someone who can build a custom toy? A monster, an animal, a character, your avatar can become real.

Cutting and decorating cubes with signs, symbols and letters to compose talking installations inside the park. With cubes and scraps of wood from pallets used for transporting goods, we can carve together individual letters from use in an installation where they can tell words and phrases inspired by ecology and social integration. ‍

The triangle is not!

So many small scraps of wood come back to life in an unusual triangular format. The appeal of Fuller's geodesy is inherent in breaking the square pattern: no longer right angles to enclose a space, but articulated lines that render the complexity of nature. We will challenge ourselves in groups to produce a sampling of modules from give to the city of Spoleto.

Seating is the cult theme of every self-respecting designer: its simple function can be interpreted in a thousand different ways with the goal of rising from the inexorable gravitational pull downward! Through the construction of a bench, chair or lounger we reveal the secrets of our eco-sustainable approach!
