Miller'sopera as a media artist has appeared in various cultural contexts such as the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2000, the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany, the Kunsthalle in Vienna, the Andy Wahrol Museum in Pittsburgh, and many other museums and galleries.
In this permanent installation, which will come alive in three performances on July 10, 11, 12, Miller portrays a rapidly changing continent.
An elaboration of his firsthand encounter with an impervious and dynamic habitat in images mediated from various channels and music composed inspired by the diverse geographies that make up the territory. Recordings made at the site from Paul D. Miller with a portable studio are intended to capture the acoustic qualities of Antarctic glacial architecture, reflecting an environment forced to to change and even dissolve.
Enriched by visual material from the vast Getty Images collection, the Antarctic Suite is a complex experience, capable of creating a unique and powerful moment about the relationship between man and nature.
