The flurry of originality brought by the music of Alessandro Mahmoud, aka Mahmood, has been able to win over a transversal audience and has also depopulated outside the national borders, landing overseas, with the New York Times wanting to dedicate a long article to him.
After winning the Sanremo Festival 2019, participating in the London Eurovision Party and the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Mahmood is performing live, bringing his "Good Vibes" also in an "extraordinary" concert for the Spoleto Festival.
Class of 1992, born to Milan from Italian mother and from Egyptian father, his music was born at the intersection of these two worlds. A union that the artist has been able to shape with great spontaneity, infusing his songs with an intense and enthralling sound that is completely unique and personal. He talks about himself, but tells stories that are those of many young people of his generation.
And it is to its younger audience that Festival dei Due Mondi offers the concert by Mahmood, an artist who is a spokesman for the feelings of uncertainty and sense of bewilderment of our youth, but also for the desire not to give up ambition and the ability to appreciate all the positive that springs from dialogue and the natural meeting of different cultures. A vision that the Festival fully shares.
The concert features on the stage at Piazza Duomo a special guest, Dario Faini, aka Dardust, internationally renowned composer, pianist and electronic producer.
