Coreografie femministe
Rai Per la Sostenibilità - ESG
As part of the European project No Women No Panel relaunched by RAI for gender equality in public debate, the Festival hosts Feminist Choreographies, a panel discussion on the role of women in the world of dance.
In dance, in fact, many women are making a name for themselves today, not only as étoiles on stages, but also as choreographers, directors, artistic directors, and writers. No Women No Panel gives them a voice for a tale of women's dance, remembering Vittoria Ottolenghi, who brought international ballet to the Spoleto stage (and to RAI screens), coordinating the Dance sector from 1988 to 1996.
Invited to to participate are choreographer and director Luciano Cannito, president of the Teatro Stabile Mercadante in Naples; Canadian choreographer Marie Chouinard, who is also on the bill to Spoleto with her Company; Russian dancer and choreographer Vladimir Derevianko; Francesco Giambrone, superintendent of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and president of Agis; Carmela Piccione, journalist and writer, together with the artistic director of Festival dei Due Mondi MoniqueVeaute.
The event sees the involvement of some of the greatest protagonists of the Italian and international scene, not only étoile but also choreographers, directors, artistic directors, writers, to rewrite the history and the present of dance as well.
