Conservazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale attraverso la digitalizzazione 3D
The conference, organized from Archimede Arte and QFP, under the patronage of the Foundation Festival Dei Due Mondi of Spoleto, Comune di Spoleto, the University of Perugia, Confindustria Umbria, the Umbrian Foundation for Architecture FUA and in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, originates from Spoleto's location as a new national and international reference point for culture and its relationship with new technologies applicable to the field of art: the city, in the past months, was chosen by the relevant institutions and ministries to host the Inter-University Center for the Digitization of Cultural and Environmental Heritage. A number of universities and companies will be established in the area, joining to those already present and the cultural heritage depository of the Ministry of Culture in Santo Chiodo, ensuring that the Umbrian city, known worldwide for its museums, its monuments, its cultural events and in particular for the Festival dei due Mondi, can be a point of reference and a model for the use of new digital technologies for the protection and enhancement of artistic, cultural and environmental heritage.
In this framework and in the period in which the Festival is being held, it is important that we reflect on the digitization of cultural heritage and the importance of these activities, which will constitute a new economic asset for the development of sectors related to the enhancement of cultural heritage, thanks to a new model of preservation from side by side with the traditional model of preventive restoration. to
The views of the Scientific Director of the research center and Pro Rector of the University of Perugia regarding the organization and objectives of CeDiPa will be heard, that of Prof. Belardi about some issues related to technological innovations and the use of digitizations for the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage, while Archimede Arte and QFP will talk about their own experiences, as well as carry out demonstrations of 3D digitizations on materials of particular interest such as archaeological finds from the place hosting the conference, stage costumes from the archives of the Foundation Festival dei Due Mondi used in shows held in city theaters and historical garments on display at the Textile and Costume Museum of Spoleto.
The conference will be aimed at bringing new insights into the use of innovative digital tools and how the digital enhancement of culture can activate a virtuous circle for the economy of the territory, for tourist attraction and how it can be an element of greater qualification of the Made in Italy offer.
The conference will be coordinated by the President of the Umbra Foundation for Architecture Bruno Mario Broccolo.
