The festival is us is a competition aimed at elementary and middle school students, an invitation to search through family memories and those of friends to come up with entries that reflect the lived experience or direct experience that the Festival dei Due Mondi Spoleto children and youth have.

to those who are the children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, of those who have hosted, worked in the organization and, in the most diverse ways, participated in the realization of the Festival over the years, are asked to collect interviews, old photographs and documents about the Festival. The research and collection of materials should be followed by group work within the class, with the help and coordination of teachers for the creation of works that can be: written compositions, graphic works(drawings, collage posters etc.), multimedia works (dvd with videos, photos, or powerpoint presentations).

A committee will choose the most representative works, which will be awarded during one of the most significant moments of Spoleto 54, July 7, the day dedicated to the centenary of Gian Carlo Menotti′s birth. The jury will be chaired by President and Artistic Director of the Foundation Festival dei Due Mondi Giorgio Ferrara, from representatives of theMunicipal Administration and from a representative of the Perugia Education Board.

The documentary/photographic material collected by the schools will be acquired by the G. Carducci municipal library as the first core of the project "The Palace of Memory" in Spoleto.

All submitted works will be the subject of an exhibition or can be admired on the 54th Festival website.

The contest is open to all elementary and middle schools in the City of Spoleto.
