_Ballet _is a duet for two women based on the figurative language, trajectories, and materiality of the classical ballet tradition; it was created during Parson's Fellowship at New York University's Center for Ballet and The Arts in the spring of 2018. In that context, Parson intended to make something that would include the fundamental steps of ballet, the objects associated with ballet, the tradition of narrative ballet, and the radical shift toward non-narrative ballet, and in bringing classical ballet into her world, she told it through her own personal choreographic gaze.
