to from 12 March to Palazzo Collicola The exhibition Fragments of a theatrical journey reopens with free access to curated by Piero Maccarinelli with the collaboration of Monica Trevisani, the first stage of a research process that in the next Over the years, the Festival will reorganize the Festival's archives to bring to light documents, photographs, period sketches, costumes and props made by the skilled hands of the workers who have followed one another from edition to edition. The exhibition aims to enhance the fundamental work of the artisans-artists without whom the festival would not have obtained the international prestige that has distinguished it. The exhibition itinerary, in addition to to As a tribute to the Festival's workforce, it aims to trace a common thread between the first editions and those of recent years, to highlight the work of seamstresses, set designers and technicians that has been perpetuated and renewed to this day.

Thanks to 'opera restoration, carried out by the same artist-craftsmen who had worked on the original invoice, it is possible to admire the costumes of Šostakovič's Nose and the Duke of Alba, made to Spoleto in 1995 and 1992, respectively; the costumes of Les Count d'Hoffmann, from 1989, flanked from a restored backdrop from one of the set designers who, at the time, had been in charge of its creation.

In addition to the section devoted to period costumes, the exhibition emphasizes the work of the workers who have collaborated with the Festival in recent years, displaying costumes from some of the operas produced by the Festival in the past decade(Gogo No Eiko, Amelia at the Ball and Le nozze di Figaro). Signed by internationally renowned costume designer Maurizio Galante, the costumes on display were mostly made by the skilled hands of the seamstresses who, even today, work in the Festival's tailor shop.

Completing the exhibition is a series of period photographs divided into three thematic areas: images of the chandelier set-up of the 1976 Checkers of Spades, the original tailoring workshop and Gian Carlo Menotti with the theater staff are a tribute to the work of the Festival's technicians; a second section is devoted to photographs of guest artists and personalities from the first editions of the event; and the last section, finally, is dedicated to Gian Carlo Menotti, creator and founder of the Festival, and to some famous performances that have made the history of Festival dei Due Mondi.
