Into the Hairy by Sharon Eyal best contemporary performance for Dance&Dance

"A piece that delves into the dark, unacknowledged side of the human soul by delineating a highly participatory danced fresco": with this motivation, the specialized magazine Danza&Danza awarded to Into the Hairy by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar the 2023 "Contemporary Performance" prize, as part of the awards given annually by the magazine's critics since 1987. Israeli choreographer Sharon Eyal's new creation had its Italian premiere at Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti from June 30 to July 3, 2023 for the sixty-sixth edition of Festival dei Due Mondi. The play was broadcast in prime time last December 7, and is still available on Rai Play. Eyal brought to Spoleto his company L-E-V (Hebrew for heart), one of the most curious and original groups of the new Israeli generation, founded together with partner Gai Behar, with whom he also signed the show. As with any of Eyal's work, costumes are an integral part of the artistic creation, and in this case they were made from Maria Grazia Chiuri for Christian Dior Couture. The show also represented the first collaboration with musician and electronic music producer Koreless.
