International title: The song of earth. Genre Documentary, - Norway, 2023, running time 90 minutes. Distributed from Wanted. Selected at the Academy Awards for Best International Film.
The Song of the Earth is a majestic symphony for the big screen. The sounds of the earth harmonize to perfection creating a unique symphony that accompanies this breathtaking journey through landscape and memory. His goal is to spend some time with his 84-year-old father, while the figure of his mother remains more in the background. Following in her parents' footsteps and their story of love and life, the filmmaker spends an entire year, finding in the seasonal scan the structure for her documentary.
